Do a Little Something - Every Day

We've been reading a LOT lately about many people with "365" projects:

A humble man who decided to donate to charity every day.  The guy who decided not to throw anything away for a year.  People who say "thanks" every day.  Flickr's 365 days project.  There's lots of 365 days of crock pot meals, astronomy, vegetarianism - people do any sort of journaling you can imagine.

We wondered about starting a 365 day project ourselves.

What if, every day, you did something.  You resolved to DO something every day. Nothing that would hurt someone else, and nothing that would be part of your daily routine (waking up or brushing your teeth, though that last one would be a good thing to make SURE you're doing).

  • Maybe it's vowing to try something you've never eaten every day.
  • Writing your loved one a short note every day.
  • Making a new Top Ten list of things every day.
  • Donating one dollar somewhere new every day.
  • Complimenting a random stranger every day.
  • Cleaning out one drawer or cabinet in your house every day.
  • Writing one haiku poem every day.
  • Giving away one article of clothing every day.
  • Volunteering somewhere new every day.
  • Doing something (kinda like this blog might be) every day.

It's important to keep track of whatever you're doing.  Keep a running list, take a photo, put your "every day" on index cards, one per day.  Or blog about it (and let us know).  After 365 days, it will be interesting to see what you've accomplished.  We want to do it ourselves, but we also want to see what others are doing.

          We think it's a worthwhile cause.  Whatever it may be.

And we hope to know, by doing something every day:

          How might it change you?  How might you change the world?
